– Sgt. USMC
Will Rollins served in the USMC from ’02 -’10. He was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor as well as the Silver Star, our nations third-highest military combat decoration, for gallantry in action.
Q. Will, what advice would you give another veteran who may be struggling in their transition from Active Duty to civilian life?”
A. “There a lot of things I would tell that veteran:
• Stop feeling sorry for yourself, you can’t change the past but you can make the most of your future.
• Cut all the negativity out of your life; surround yourself with people who are trying to better themselves and you do the same; do it together.
• Become your favorite person, make fixing yourself a priority… nobody else is going to do it for you.”
