The Impact A Hero Partner of the Year award focuses on the individual or organization that has made a difference in the lives of our wounded heroes through their actions. These actions require an extensive donation of time, treasure and talent. Joined together at the hip with the Impact A Hero organization, the Impact A Hero Partner of the Year is determined to improve the quality of life for our wounded heroes, no matter what actions are required to get the job done.
The Impact A Hero Hall of Fame honors those military men and women (and their families) who have been severely wounded or killed in the post-9/11 combat by providing emotional support through a forum of public appreciation. Funds raised from the Impact A Hero Weekend support our severely-wounded military heroes via Impact Player Partners, a 501(c) (3) organization that provides emotional, career and financial assistance.
The Impact A Hero Hall of Fame is also designed to honor those individuals who strive for all-encompassing excellence in their life. In particular, inductees display a laser focus on serving others before self. Dr. Richard (Dick) Traum was our first Impact A Hero Hall of Fame inductee. Dick was the first leg amputee to run a marathon, and is the founder of the Achilles Track Club.
