Dick Lynch

Dick Lynch is the founder of Impact a Hero. Prior to founding Impact a Hero, Dick produced executive leadership conferences and authored a book on leadership.

He graduated from Brown University, and now resides in Cincinnati, OH with his wife of twenty years and four children.

Jim Hoelker

Jim is the President and CEO of J&L Distributors and International Product Group.

He earned an undergraduate degree in business administration from Ohio University in Athens.  Jim resides in Sugar Land, Texas with his wife, Patty and their four children.

Dan Sullenbarger
Chairman of the Board

Dan Sullenbarger retired from Marathon Oil Corporation in January 2013 where he served as vice president of Corporate Compliance and Ethics at Marathon Oil Corporation. He joined Marathon in 1975, and held a number of positions in the Law Organization.

He earned an undergraduate degree in political science from Bowling Green State University and a law degree from Ohio Northern University.

Larry Boyd
Board of Director

Larry is co-founder and Managing Principal of Oak Bridge Financial, LLC. He was raised as an “Air Force Brat”, and his son is a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Reserves flying Apache Helicopters.

Larry graduated with an BBA from Abilene Christian University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Larry and his wife, Brenda, married in 1981 and in addition to their son, also have a daughter. Since 2005, Larry continues to serve as the 5K Co-Chairman.

“In 2004, when asked if I could help, I had no hesitation. I am humbled to serve in whatever capacity I can to recognize and help our Heroes and their families.” Larry

Daniel Ebarb
Board of Director

Daniel EbarbDaniel is an employee of the Federal Government with time spent in both the Department of Defense and Department of Justice. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY, before serving in the Army as an Infantry Officer.

He and his wife, Sherri, married in 2006 and now reside in Missouri City, Texas with their daughter, Whitney.

Rod Long
Board of Director

Rod is the Co-Founder and President of Team Trident LLC. He graduated from Texas A&M University and went on active duty in the Marine Corps in 1988.

He and his wife, Melissa, live in Katy, Texas and are proud parents of Catherine, Brooke and Austin.

Constance White
Board of Director

Constance White is the Executive Director of Spindletop Charities, Inc., an oil and gas industry supported non-profit organization supporting youth charities.

She graduated from University of Arkansas, and now resides in Houston.

“It is an honor and a privilege to work with other board members to insure Impact A Hero continues its important mission of supporting our wounded heroes. We are grateful to them all.” Constance 

Mike Nasche
Director of Veteran Relations

Mike Nasche is the Owner and Principal Consultant of Sense of Urgency Consulting LLC. He is an Airborne Infantryman, a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and a subject matter expert in Veteran Transition.

Most recently Mike served as the Chairman of the Veterans Resource Group at Baker Hughes Inc. and helped them become the #3 Most Military Friendly Company in the Nation.

In addition to his combat experience, Sergeant First Class Nasche served as a Military Recruiter for the Army.

“Our Vision and Mission inspire me, and I’m so honored that the Board of Directors have chosen me to be their ‘hands and feet’, to serve my brothers and sisters all across this great nation. I want to help Veterans overcome the obstacles that are in the way of achieving their goals. I want to help Veterans find purpose and meaning in their lives after they hang up their uniform. I want to inspire them to avoid this idea of victimization, and, instead, chase exceptionalism.” – Mike 

Laurel Goodroe
Business Director

Laurel has a BA in Communications and an MA in Advertising. For the past 8 years she has been working for non- profit trade associations where she managed membership, led the production of a bi-monthly magazine, coordinated events and managed over 100 virtual volunteers across the US. Laurel has been involved with Impact A Hero in various capacities for a little over 4 years through her husband, Jack, who is also a wounded Hero.
