2013 IAH Weekend 5K Run, Walk, Wheel

Description:

The 9th Annual Impact A Hero 5K Run/Walk/Wheel will be held Saturday May 18th at 7:30 a.m. at the new location - Reliant Stadium. The race will feature a 5K Competitive/Timed Run, 5K Non-Competitive Run, 5K Wheel and a 2 mile Walk.

The Houston Texans will once again be an active participant in the Impact A Hero 5K. In addition to Coach Gary Kubiak being the honorary race chairman, Texans players, Lady Texans, cheerleaders and Toro being in attendance, the Texans will be sponsoring the Kids Area! Click on the Kids Area navigation tab at the top for more details. All registered race participants receive access to the Texans tent for autographs!

In my particular case and point of view, the real hero is my wife. Although she did not shoot a bullet in the line of duty, she battled on her own to keep our family together, to be my caregiver and the mother of our daughters. I believe that when a Soldier goes to war, the Family also goes to war. When a Soldier is wounded, the Family is also wounded.
